Subsidiaries of patent holding company Acacia Research of Newport Beach, CA, have signed deals to license patents to several PACS and display companies.
Acacia's Coronary Stent Visualization company has licensed a portfolio of PACS patents to Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA, while Acacia's Light Valve Solutions unit has licensed PACS patents to Canon U.S.A. of Lake Success, NY, covering light valve systems. The Canon deal resolves patient litigation pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Earlier this month, the Light Valve Solutions division reached a settlement with NEC Display Solutions of Itasca, IL, covering light valve patents. That deal also resolved pending litigation in the Georgia court.
