TDK debuts DVD/CD recording station

TDK Medical has released DMC-2000 DICOM Media Creator, a medical DVD and CD recording station with an integrated PC. DMC-2000 can be connected to any DICOM network to provide on-demand recording of patient studies to DVD or CD media, according to the Garden City, NY-based firm.

In support of the DMC-2000 launch, TDK has also debuted BluPrint, a new medical recording software package that's preloaded on DMC-2000. BluPrint features a Web-based interface that's accessible from any PC on the DICOM network, TDK said.

As a result, practically any computer located in an institution can be used to push patient studies to DMC-2000 for on-demand recording on DVDs or CDs, according to the firm. The software suite also includes Merge eFilm's eFilm Lite viewing software.
