Philips debuts products at Heart Rhythm meeting

Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA, introduced several product developments and updates at the recent 2009 Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) meeting in Boston.

Philips debuted its Physiomonitoring 5 for electrophysiology (EP) logging and reporting on its Xper information management product. The feature is designed to enable EP labs to perform procedures to capture and integrate clinical information at the point of care. Capabilities include vital signs monitoring, customizable templates for EP clinical reporting, and data mining for enhanced operational efficiency.

Additionally, the Philips EP cockpit XL is equipped with a high-resolution, 56-inch, 8-megapixel color monitor to view clinical images and video from Philips and third-party systems on a configurable, large LCD screen.

Philips also has partnered with C. R. Bard of Covington, GA, and Hansen Medical of Mountain View, CA, to develop and integrate technologies for electrophysiologists to help shorten procedures and gain detailed visualizations for interventions.
