Toshiba unit taps Dempster

Imaging industry veteran Paul Dempster has been named director of medical imaging and factory automation at Toshiba America's Imaging Systems Division of Irvine, CA.

In the position, Dempster will oversee sales, business development, and marketing activities for the division's video imaging technology and high-resolution complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) and CCD cameras, which are used in surgical imaging, endoscopy, factory automation, machine vision, nondestructive testing, and specialty high-definition-video applications.

Dempster is a 20-year veteran of the medical imaging industry and most recently was president of NAI Tech Products of Auburn, CA. He also managed international sales for North American Imaging, a supplier of image intensifiers and medical imaging components.
