ComSynTech, Genus sign licensing deal

Communication Synergy Technologies (ComSynTech) has signed a licensing agreement with Genus of Warwickshire, U.K.

The Rochester, NY-based ComSynTech will license its proprietary CDV Document Vault archiving product to Genus. Genus will incorporate the application with DocFinity, an electronic document management and workflow product based on software from Optical Image Technology.

The companies' combined software will introduce preservation and archiving technology into a document management suite that eliminates dependency on originating devices and applications for archived documents, ComSynTech said. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
