Integra to acquire Tyco's Radionics division

Integra LifeSciences Holdings has agreed to acquire the Radionics division of Tyco Healthcare Group of Mansfield, MA, for $80 million in cash.

Burlington, MA-based Radionics designs, manufactures, and sells neurosurgery and radiation therapy medical instruments. Its products include the Cusa EXcel ultrasonic surgical aspiration system, the CRW stereotactic system, the XKnife stereotactic radiosurgery system, and the OmniSight EXcel image-guided surgery system, according to Plainsboro, NJ-based Integra.
