Medical display device manufacturer FIMI-Philips of Saronno, Italy (a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Philips Electronics in the Netherlands), has debuted a new suite of LCD monitors. The product family, the MML line, ranges in size from 15-inch to 21-inch displays.
The MML line features an internal 10-bit lookup table controlled by a dedicated chipset that allows precise grayscale correction independently of the video source. In addition, it boasts a contrast ratio in excess of 400:1, a viewing angle of 170º, and a brightness level of 500 candelas per square meter (cd/sqm) that is controlled through a backlight stabilization circuit that compensates for lamp aging, according to the firm.
