Ferrania Imaging Technologies will display the latest version of its LifeWeb RIS, 2.5, later this month at the 2006 RSNA show in Chicago.

The LifeWeb RIS 2.5 product is an enterprise-level RIS system that provides a complete toolset for radiology workflow management. It features DICOM Structured Reporting (SR), dose details, and enhanced patient management capabilities, the company said. Speech recognition and patient self-check in capabilities are also available.

The Web-based product provides an open and flexible architecture in which integration of a brokerless PACS and RIS can occur, according to Ferrania. The firm said its LifeWeb RIS meets all Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) interoperability requirements.

The Cairo Montenotte, Italy-based Ferrania said its LifeWeb RIS 2.5 is available worldwide now.
