GE Healthcare

GE of Chalfont St. Giles, U.K., will debut its Centricity Radiology Business Intelligence dashboard software, an application intended to provide detailed reporting of different business and workflow aspects of radiology departments.

The software is designed to examine how a practice is performing by comparing current performance against preconfigured values and industry benchmarks. For example, if the target is 30 scans for an MRI machine per day, the dashboard will tell users how many scans they did and they can make decisions based on that metric, to know if the machine is above or below the target.

This includes providing access to utilization of various resources such as scanners, giving administrators real-time feedback on patient wait times, performance of radiology staff, and optionally providing information about status (when it was last serviced, when it was installed) of the different systems. The purpose of the dashboard is to improve efficiency, enhance workflow, and improve return on investment, according to GE.
