Radiology informatics developer Empiric Systems of Morrisville, NC, will highlight the features of its Encompass.Net Web-based radiology management system, which includes RIS, PACS, and billing capabilities, as well as a host of staffing management and quality assurance tools.

Primary RIS functions include patient registration, exam scheduling, embedded dictation, transcription, electronic report signatures, autofaxing, personal digital assistant (PDA) capabilities, multisite support, data-access tracking, management reporting, mammography tracking, document scanning, film library management, and staff and equipment management tools.

The PACS component includes an integrated Web PACS viewer, image routing and archive management, DICOM Modality Worklist support, and a RIS-integrated workstation. Referring physicians have online study, report, and image access. Billing functions include claim generation, payment posting, and collections management.

The Encompass.Net product is currently available, Empiric said.
