Agfa HealthCare of Greenville, SC, is highlighting Impax Enterprise, which combines the vendor's Impax PACS 6.0, Impax RIS, Solution Monitoring and Management Services (SMMS), Impax Reporting, and Impax Auditing and Integration Services.
Making its RSNA debut as part of Impax Enterprise, SMMS is an integrated service that manages and monitors Agfa applications, hardware, operating systems, and databases throughout a hospital enterprise, identifying trends that point to potential future conflicts, issuing notifications, and then providing a map to track down and resolve problems, Agfa said. SMMS also provides an option to connect to Agfa's global support centers, providing coverage for after-hours issues.
The company will also show its integrated workflow product for single or multisite imaging centers and clinics. An Impax RIS/PACS version for imaging centers and clinics leverages embedded workflow to streamline and integrate a comprehensive range of radiology, business, and clinical information work that traditionally has been manual- or paper-based, Agfa said.
At this year's conference, attendees will be able to see new developments, including enhancements to embedded billing workflow, and an integrated mammography tracking module. In addition, the firm is offering a precertification workflow module to improve the speed of insurance verification, authorization, and reauthorization.
Embedded document management within the RIS allows user access to documents and electronic screening forms, including radiologist access, from within the PACS, according to the company. The imaging center and clinic version of Impax RIS/PACS also features single desktop integration to the PACS and its TalkStation speech recognition application, allowing single login, work list utilization, and automatic synchronization between clinical information and images.
