NovaRad will feature version 6.5 of its NovaScan line in its RSNA booth.

NovaScan 6.5 includes features designed to simplify and speed the process of transferring film and paper scans into PACS networks, according to the American Fork, UT-based firm. It supports film and double-sided paper scanning from the same workstation, and the ability to scan paper from a multisheet feed scanner.

In addition, NovaScan 6.5 can scan 16-bit grayscale and color films, and perform black and white reversal, NovaRad said. Scanning profiles can be created to enable separate configurations for multiple scanners. The worklist function also allows patient information to be brought up and then queued for scanning, according to the firm.
