ASRT taps new officers

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) of Albuquerque, NM, has announced three new officers for its 2010-2011 board of directors.

Current ASRT vice president Dawn McNeil, director of the radiography program at St. Catharine College in St. Catharine, KY, has been elected president-elect of the society.

ASRT board of director veteran Michael Latimer will return for a second stint as vice president. Latimer, clinical coordinator of the medical imaging program at Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, previously served as vice president in 2006-2007. He has also been secretary-treasurer for the ASRT board.

Julie Gill, chairperson and assistant professor of the Allied Health Department at the University of Cincinnati's Raymond Walters College, has been elected secretary-treasurer.

In other ASRT news, current president-elect James Temme will become ASRT president following the society's annual governance and house of delegates meeting June 25-27 in Albuquerque. Diane Mayo, quality assurance coordinator for the diagnostic imaging department at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS, will also be elevated to chairman of the board.
