PACS technology developer Sorna of Eagan, MN, has added automated password encryption to its newest software version of eXpedo, the operating software of its automated DICOM CD/DVD publishing systems.
Reviewer Admin, Sorna's standalone operating software, also has this encryption functionality in its software version 1.6.
In addition, users of iSite PACS from Philips Healthcare of Andover, MA, can add an eXpedo client plug-in to workstations to provide an interface with any eXpedo CD/DVD publishing system version 2.5 and higher.
All DICOM CDs/DVDs created by Sorna publishing systems now will open automatically on any PC running Microsoft Windows 2000 and higher for immediate display of images without the need for preinstalled operating system software.
