GlobalMed launches new image sharing app

GlobalMed has developed a new application to reduce duplicate scans by making initial CT scans available to all healthcare providers.

GlobalMed's CapSure Cloud application uploads images to a secure cloud-based server from the originating hospital. Sign-on information can be shared with specialists at the receiving hospital so they can view the study. In emergency cases, the team at the receiving hospital can be prepared for the patient's arrival and go directly to the operating room, the company said.
