Sectra PACS in Australia mammo project

An Australian national breast cancer screening program will use Swedish PACS vendor Sectra's technology in its three-year pilot project to explore the feasibility of digital mammography.

BreastScreen Victoria will utilize the Linköping-based company's PACS to help screen and store the images of more than 200,000 women annually.

The first phase of the project, which began in April 2005, has been successfully implemented, and two screening and assessment services have been converted to a digital operating environment.
