Canadian PACS vendor Intelerad Medical Systems served up several new enhancements for its IntelePACS software at last week's Society for Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) meeting in Austin, TX.
IntelePACS Statistics Module provides IntelePACS users with greater administrative functionality and control by giving them access to real-time Web-accessible PACS administrative, statistical, and auditing tools. Administrators can manage their users, monitor their PACS remotely, and optimize their PACS network and performance, according to the company.
For the IntelePACS Reporting Worklist product, the company is adding a Reporting Worklist Manager feature that enables PACS administrators to assign cases to individual radiologists. This allows for better balancing of case workloads and improved efficiency for large facilities and virtual reading centers, according to the company.
For InteleViewer Enterprise, the company introduced enhanced multiplanar reformat (MPR) functionality, including oblique and double-oblique reformats. The feature gives users instant access to reformatting functionality within InteleViewer, according to the company.
Finally, the company announced that InteleViewer Workstation would be launching as a standalone product in mid-2006. The software is for diagnostic interpretation for hospitals and imaging centers that are looking to supplement or replace their current software with a viewer that is easy to use and value-priced, according to the company.
