Korean PACS vendor Medical Standard (MSI) will add a Web-based miniPACS to its PACSPartner line.
Designed for imaging centers and small or medium-sized hospitals, the miniPACS provides plug-and-play setup, image management, and configurable short- and long-term archiving at an entry-level price, MSI said.
The product includes a Web-driven interface and thin-client architecture and supports Web-based communication in and outside the enterprise. It can be upgraded to an enterprise-wide multimodality PACS.
In other introductions, MSI will roll out an enterprise Web teleradiology system that provides secure access to images and reports over both a LAN and the Internet. The thin-client software downloads from a server to provide image manipulation and annotation tools and reporting and dictation capabilities.
Other features include secure entity authentication, multitiered data access authorization, transaction logging and reporting, encrypted data transmission over virtual private networks, and optional short-term storage and long-term archiving.
MSI will also debut specialized PACS configurations for chiropractors and veterinarians.
