Radiology informatics developer Mantis Technology of New York City will debut an integrated RIS/PACS product, AkamiIQ, at the 2005 RSNA conference. The software is the result of a technology joint venture with Honolulu, HI-based EBM Technologies.
AkamiIQ offers the capabilities of the MantisIQ RIS product suite with EBM's PACS, and will enable physicians and medical personnel to retrieve images and reports at any location via the Internet, according to Mantis.
In addition, Mantis has added a new model to its RIS, called IQ Universe, an artificial intelligence-based integration product that allows a hospital or outpatient radiology facility to enhance and increase workflow efficiency by leveraging investments in existing RIS and PACS products, Mantis said. The product is a fully customizable system that will integrate all modalities, RIS applications, dictation, voice recognition systems, and PACS into a unified paperless workflow including document imaging.
Mantis will also be demonstrating its recently released Echo on the Go, a cardiac report and image management product that provides full digital imaging and structured reporting technologies to the outpatient cardiology practice marketplace.
The products are available now in the U.S., including Puerto Rico. In addition, they are also available in Thailand, Taiwan, China, and Japan. The company said that a Spanish-language version will be available in January next year.
