Global Care Solutions will present its Amalga PACS network. Amalga offers all standard diagnostic features, as well as 3D volume rendering, CAD, dictation/transcription, and speech recognition, according to the Baltimore-based vendor.
Based on Microsoft's .Net platform, Amalga maintains all images online, and all of its components communicate using hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP). Amalga comes with a PACS administrator central monitoring console and uses EMC's Centera archive.
Amalga is scheduled for release in the U.S. and the rest of the world in January 2006.
