Orex adds miniPACS to CR

Orex Computed Radiography will debut an integrated miniPACS offering for its desktop CR line at next week's Symposium for Computer Applications in Radiology in Boston. Called Onyx-RAD, the miniPACS can send and receive DICOM files, as well as burn them to CDs for archiving or distribution to referring physicians.

The viewer includes features such as pan, zoom, and annotate, according to the Yokneam, Israel-based vendor. The unit also has a Web server option for Internet/intranet connectivity, as well as options for lossless and various lossy compression levels, Orex said.
