PACS and connectivity firm Merge Technologies has acquired workstation and PACS technology provider Aurora Technology of Lake Bluff, IL, in a stock and cash deal. Milwaukee-based Merge paid 93,901 shares of common stock and $100,000 in cash for Aurora.
Merge's stock was trading at $7.89 per share in mid-day trading Thursday, valuing the deal at approximately $841,000. Of the shares, 20% will be held in escrow for 12 months to secure obligations of Aurora, according to regulatory filings.
