Merge expands Japanese presence

PACS and connectivity firm Merge Technologies has expanded two partnerships in the Japanese market. At the Japanese Radiology meeting in Kobe, Teijin Systems Technology introduced its first healthcare system built on Merge's MergeWeb 3.0 Healthcare platform. Teijin has been a Merge software licensee for five years, and adopted MergeWeb last year.

In other partnership news, Elk Medical Systems has agreed to distribute Merge's ExamWorks product line. Elk has been a Merge software licensee for three years and recently decided to distribute its connectivity products, according to Milwaukee-based Merge.
