PACS and connectivity firm Merge Technologies of Milwaukee has announced a long-term contract with Philips Medical Systems of the Netherlands. Merge will supply Philips with ExamWorks, its DICOM-based Internet workflow offering.
Philips will incorporate ExamWorks into its mobile surgical C-arm product and call it DICOM 3.0 Workflow Interface. The software will allow for easier, faster, and more secure transfer of images from the surgery suite to workstations throughout the department and hospital, according to Philips.
