GE, IntraMedical partner

GE Healthcare has inked an exclusive agreement with molecular imaging technology developer IntraMedical Imaging to offer a surgical oncology device for localization of tumors and lymph nodes during cancer surgery.

The product line consists of a universal control unit (called Node Seeker) and a dedicated set of detection probes, according to Waukesha, WI-based GE. GE will be the exclusive distributor for Node Seeker, which was developed by IntraMedical of Los Angeles.

In addition, GE will serve as the exclusive distributor for IntraMedical's PET-Probe technology, which are radiation detection probes used to take advantage of PET during surgery, according to the vendor.
