Revenue growth in all four of its business segments powered women's imaging vendor Hologic to a profit in the company's 2014 fiscal year and fourth quarter (end-September 27).
For fiscal 2014, revenues rose to $2.54 billion, compared with $2.49 billion in 2013. The company also reported net income of $17.3 million for the fiscal year, compared with a net loss of $1.17 billion last year.
Fourth-quarter revenues increased 6% to $660.6 million, compared with $622 million in the fourth quarter of 2013. The company also posted net income of $28.2 million, compared with a net loss of $1.1 billion in last year's fourth quarter.
Looking ahead to 2015, Hologic expects operational revenue growth of approximately 2% to 3.5% over fiscal 2014, excluding fluctuations in foreign currency.
