Breast imaging software developer Mammography Reporting System (MRS) is debuting its Aspen Breast software at this week's National Consortium of Breast Centers (NCoBC) meeting in Las Vegas.
The breast healthcare reporting and tracking software features a number of tools aimed at streamlining workflow, as well as role-based functionality designed to optimize facility operations, according to the firm. Users, sites, and systems can also build their own customized workflow, MRS said.
Aspen Breast includes features such as a user interface with tabbed browsing and technologies utilizing Microsoft.NET, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), and the latest programming languages. MRS said it has also incorporated robust internal security and auditing functionality.
The software includes enhanced productivity tools targeted at promoting efficiency and effectiveness with lower operational costs, according to MRS. Available add-on pieces include the firm's Secured Access patient and referring clinician Web portal.
The company said it has invested four years, nearly 100,000 man hours, and millions of dollars in research and development costs to build Aspen Breast, which is expected to be released commercially in the summer of 2014.
