Siemens Healthcare has launched its new Mammomat Select analog mammography system at RSNA 2013 in Chicago.
Designed to deliver high quality regardless of budget restraints, Mammomat Select has a touchscreen that guides clinical personnel through the screening process and supports isocentric movement. The height of the detector does not need to be reset between each imaging phase, reducing patient screening time, the company noted.
The system is also equipped with the OpDose application, which allows radiation dose to be individually set for each patient.
Mammomat Select can be connected to a computed radiography system via an additional interface to enable an upgrade to digital mammography with storage phosphor plates, Siemens said.
