The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop a majority of their future clinical practice guidelines for radiation oncology.
The agreement, announced during the ESTRO Annual Congress in Stockholm, establishes a joint committee with representatives from each society to oversee topic selection and guideline development, as well as governance, authorship, and journal publication logistics, according to the organizations.
