GT Medical Technologies' GammaTile radiation therapy platform has received the Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine - Ascension St. Vincent Center of Excellence Program designation.
The program recognizes leaders in patient care dedicated to advancing brain tumor treatment. This designation recognizes three neurosurgeons: Charles G. Kulwin, MD; Troy D. Payner, MD; and Kushal J. Shah, MD, all of Goodman Campbell.
GammaTiles are made of collagen embedded with radiation sources that are implanted at a tumor site during brain tumor resection surgery, according to the firm.
