GT Medical Technologies raises $100M for GammaTile radiotherapy

GT Medical Technologies has raised $100 million in a Series E financing round to support commercial and operational expansion of its GammaTile brain tumor radiotherapy system, following positive results from a phase III clinical trial.

GammaTile is a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-cleared bioresorbable implant placed at the time of brain tumor removal surgery to deliver immediate radiation to the resection site, according to the company.

At the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2026 meeting, GT Medical highlighted data from its ROADS randomized controlled trial showed that GammaTile reduced the risk of tumor recurrence and death at 12 months by 93% and 41%, respectively, compared with standard of care. Proceeds will support the company's BRIDGES randomized controlled trial in patients with newly diagnosed glioblastomas, the company noted.

The round was led by Viking Global Investors, with participation from MVM Partners, Gilde Healthcare, Evidity Health Capital, Medtech Venture Partners, and FemHealth Ventures.
