Zap Surgical Systems is touting the first stereotactic radiosurgery treatments in Latin America using its Zap-X gyroscopic radiosurgery platform.
The treatments were performed on four patients at Radioterapia Concordia in Neuland, Boquerón, Paraguay, for meningioma, acoustic neuroma, trigeminal neuralgia, and arteriovenous malformation.
Radioterapia Concordia is a new center that is in collaboration with ZAP-X Zentrum Lingen in Germany, the company said.
