RaySearch Laboratories' RayStation treatment planning system has been used with Neutron Therapeutics' accelerator-based boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) on a patient at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Finland's Helsinki University Hospital.
The treatment was the first to occur in Europe, according to RaySearch. It was conducted using Neutron Therapeutics' nuBeam Suite, which incorporates the neutron source, imaging, positioning, and treatment planning with RayStation support, the company said.
