Radiation therapy vendor Varian Medical Systems has delivered its Clinac iX medical linear accelerator to Vinmec International Hospital in Vietnam.
Featuring Varian's RapidArc technology, the accelerator can provide intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), and some forms of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), according to the vendor. Vinmec International Hospital is the first of up to 10 private radiotherapy centers planned by the Vinmec International Hospital Joint Stock Co., Varian said.
