Radiation oncology firm Accuray announced it has completed the first installation in South America of its CyberKnife robotic radiosurgery system, at the Instituto Neurológico de Colombia.
The cancer treatment center in Medellin has been treating patients with intracranial, prostate, spine, lung, and liver tumors since May 2012. The first patient to receive treatment was from Bolivia and had a tumor in his spine.
