Oncology and oncology-support specialty pharmaceutical company Dara BioSciences said it has launched a new product for treating skin irritation and burns associated with radiation therapy.
Bionect helps radiation therapy patients deal with radiodermatitis, an effect of radiotherapy. In a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial, Bionect was shown to help resolve radiation-induced inflammation and also to postpone the first signs of acute epithelitis, according to Dara.
