Portable MRI technology developer Hyperfine has appointed Scott Huennekens as executive chairman.

Huennekens will partner with Hyperfine's new president and CEO Dave Scott to continue expanding the commercialization of the company's Swoop portable MRI system and prepare Hyperfine for future growth and readiness for public market offering.

Huennekens' experience includes initial public offerings at Envista, Actus Medical, Verb Surgical/Google, Volcano, ViewRay, EndoChoice, NuVasive, Digirad, and Edwards Lifesciences.
