Siemens Healthineers has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its AIDAN artificial intelligence (AI) technology for the Biograph PET/CT product line.
AIDAN includes four new features:
- FlowMotion AI uses continuous bed motion with the company's proprietary Alpha AI technology to automatically detect anatomical structures and automatically apply disease-specific protocol parameters based on individual requirements.
- PET FAST WorkFlow AI is designed to automate post-scan tasks by automatically performing fast image transfer and auto data export to create PACS-ready data ranges.
- OncoFreeze AI also uses Alpha technology and algorithms to acquire PET/CT images without the adverse effects of respiratory motion and no additional scan time.
- Multiparametric PET Suite AI offers a fully automated workflow to extract the arterial input function automatically from acquired PET/CT images without the unnecessary risk associated with arterial lines and sampling.
Aiden AI also offers enhanced protection against cyberthreats through syngo Security software.
