Positrigo program to bring brain PET to U.S. neurology offices

Swiss medical device developer Positrigo has launched the BrainPET Accelerator Program, an initiative designed to help U.S. neurology practices implement brain PET imaging at the point of care using the company's compact NeuroLF brain PET system.

The program is structured as a bundled, end-to-end service that includes delivery and installation of the NeuroLF system, radiotracer procurement and logistics, regulatory and licensing support, and image reading and interpretation by nuclear medicine and radiology specialists, the company said. Operational support covering patient scheduling, scan acquisition, image processing, and reporting is also included.

The program is designed for practices focused on neurodegenerative diseases, cognitive disorders, and other neurological conditions. It does not require practices to operate a cyclotron or radiochemistry lab. Positrigo said the initiative is aimed in part at meeting growing demand for amyloid and tau PET imaging as disease-modifying therapies for dementia become more widely available.
