Colon capsule developer Check-Cap said that its manufacturing collaboration with GE Healthcare has entered the next phase.
In the new phase, GE will perform the final assembly, packaging, and shipping of Check-Cap's C-Scan ingestible capsules for colorectal cancer screening. Initially, these capsules will be used to support Check-Cap's U.S. pilot trial in the first half of 2018. Check-Cap said it will supply GE with supporting calibration and final assembly methodology and equipment.
In addition, the company noted that planning and other activities are underway for its European postapproval study, which is also expected to be performed in the first half of 2018.
