GE Healthcare has successfully completed the initial development milestone in its collaboration to manufacture miniature x-ray sources for colon capsule developer Check-Cap.
GE and Check-Cap said that x-ray sources produced by GE from a customized manufacturing method passed all required tests to ensure compliance with Check-Cap's specifications. The Israeli company is developing C-Scan, an ingestible capsule-based system aimed at enabling preparation-free, colorectal cancer screening.
