Contrast and virtual colonoscopy accessory developer E-Z-EM reported record net sales of $138.4 million in fiscal 2006, up 22% compared with the $113.1 million turned in during fiscal 2005.
For the year (end-June 3), the Lake Success, NY-based firm had net earnings of $9.8 million, compared with net earnings of $6.9 million a year ago. In other fiscal 2005 highlights, earnings from continuing operations reached $9.8 million, up from $5.7 million in fiscal 2005.
Fourth-quarter sales were $37.1 million, up 16% compared with sales of $32 million in the corresponding quarter a year ago. E-Z-EM reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $1.34 million, compared with net earnings of $1.33 million a year ago.
Looking ahead, E-Z-EM said it expects fiscal 2007 sales to be at least $147 million, with net earnings slated to be $7.4 million.
