Siemens Medical Solutions and screen-recording software developer TechSmith have signed a multiyear agreement. Under the deal, TechSmith's Camtasia Studio software, which records all activity that appears on a device's monitor, will be embedded on imaging systems such as angiography, colonoscopy, CT, and MR units.
The software will also be embedded on the Malvern, PA-based vendor's PACS software and Leonardo workstations, according to Siemens and TechSmith of Okemos, MI.
In other company news, Siemens and Siemens Canada have completed the largest user rollout of its Soarian Clinical Access package. St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, is now using Clinical Access for connecting its clinical applications and databases to provide one main source for patient information, Siemens said.
