Today Nycomed Amersham Imaging announced its acquisition of the Bruker Tomojet power injector system from Swiss firm Bruker. Tomojet is a pump injector for the administration of contrast media for diagnostic investigations, and is available in versions suitable for both MR and CT applications, according to Nycomed Amersham of Buckinghamshire, U.K.
Typical applications for Tomojet include: contrast angiography, tumor diagnostics, organ perfusion, and incremental body imaging, according to Nycomed Amersham. Tomojet is currently being marketed in Europe and other international markets, and will continue to be manufactured by Bruker in Zurich, Switzerland.
