ISMRM: Katja Pinker talks recent advancements in breast MRI

Katja Pinker, MD, PhD, is a regular attendee of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) annual meeting. Maybe you could tell by the onsite interviews AuntMinnie has done with her in the past, including in London, Toronto, Singapore, and Honolulu.

Cape Town can now be checked off as Pinker attends another ISMRM meeting. She spoke with AuntMinnie in South Africa about promising advancements in breast MRI, including molecular breast imaging that uses MRI.

Pinker also shared her thoughts on what attendees should take from ISMRM, why MRI should still be considered the standard for supplemental imaging, how MRI can be more accessible and efficient, and what she looks forward to most while in Cape Town.
