Radiology benefits management firm CareCore National has entered into an agreement to administer benefits for the United Auto Workers (UAW).
The UAW's Retiree Medical Benefits Trust hired CareCore to administer a radiology benefits management program on a pilot basis for a 30,000-member subset of the UAW's more than 840,000 retired members, including their dependents, the company said.
CareCore National will use evidence-based models to manage treatments and diagnoses to ensure that they are medically necessary based on patients' medical needs and current medical standards, according to CareCore.
