Brit rolls out new workstation software

RIS/PACS vendor Brit Systems has introduced version 3.6 of its Brit Vision multimodality workstation software.

The new version includes enhancements designed to streamline workflow for mammography image review, according to the Dallas-based vendor. A SmartComp feature allows mammographers to view comparison studies at the same zoom, window/level, and projection factors as the new study with the touch of a button. Any image format changes made on the primary image are automatically coordinated with the prior image, the company said.

SmartZoom synchronizes the zoom factor between images and allows mammographers to view the breast image at its actual size, Brit said. Brit Vision 3.6 also includes a new mammography-specific keypad, which enables mammographers to select viewing projection within or between studies and turn computer-aided detection (CAD) markings on or off.

Brit is showing the mammography module during this week's Breast Imaging Conference in Glendale, AZ. The firm said it will also discuss additions to its Roentgen Works Flow teleradiology package, including new applications to remotely read mammograms and deliver results.
