Carestream readies HIMSS introductions

Carestream Health is planning to showcase a number of product enhancements at next month's annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting in Orlando, FL.

A new version of Carestream's digital dashboard application alerts administrators about RIS/PACS problems via e-mail or a cell phone text message, according to the Rochester, NY-based vendor. Carestream will also demonstrate new features for its RIS offering, including voice-activated controls, voice-activated standardized reporting, and the ability to prepopulate reports with patient and exam information captured during order entry.

In PACS developments, Carestream will discuss integrated applications such as native 3D, image fusion, orthopedic templating, and cardiac analysis capabilities for authorized users at remote locations as well as onsite diagnostic workstations.

Carestream will also highlight advanced visualization features, including specialized cardiac functions such as cardiac review and analysis, cardiac cage removal in 3D imaging, and cardiac calcium scoring. Other capabilities include bone removal and vessel analysis enhancements, Carestream said.
