Carestream rolls out two new products

Carestream Health is debuting two new products this week at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) conference in San Francisco.

The Rochester, NY-based company is launching a new miniPACS platform designed for orthopedic practices, featuring the orthopedic capabilities of its Carestream PACS. The new orthopedic miniPACS platform is available in the U.S. and Canada.

Carestream also is debuting its DryView 5800 tabletop laser imager. Now available worldwide, it is designed to print grayscale images with the same technology used in DryView laser imager systems. It delivers up to 75 radiographic films per hour with a time to first print of 80 seconds for 35 x 43-cm film.

Carestream will market the product to radiology departments, imaging centers, small clinics, and dedicated modality printing environments.
