Totoku launches high-luminance monitors

Japanese monitor manufacturer Totoku Electric is planning to launch two new medical color LCD monitors.

The company's CCL254i2 is a 2-megapixel monitor with a maximum luminescence of 950 cd/m², while the 3-megapixel CCL354i2 is rated at 800 cd/m².

These displays are intended for use in imaging studies including 3D renderings, endoscopic exams, and ultrasound applications in which color and monochrome images must be viewed simultaneously, according to the company.
